Time at AJFCS: 25 Years
I am a part of the AJFCS/LJRFS team because I know that every day we have made a difference in someone’s life. I believe in the mission of the Agency, and appreciate the wonderful, caring staff I work with.
Ms. Shiffman began her career at AJFCS in 1987 as a part time bookkeeper. She became a full time employee in 1988. She was appointed as Office manager in 1990, and in 1994, after she received her BA Degree from Northwood University, she became CFO of AJFCS/LJRFS.
In 2000, Mrs. Shiffman decided to retire as CFO, and the Executive Director asked her to stay with the Agency on a part time basis and develop a Human Resource Department. As our staff grew, the part time position eventually became fulltime. In 2007, Mrs. Shiffman passed the national certification examination and was named a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) through The Society for Human Resource Management. Currently Mrs. Shiffman is the Director of the Human Resource Department and the Sachs Career Resource Center.
In 2011, Mrs. Shiffman was selected by her peers in the Human Resource Association of Palm Beach County (A group of approximately six hundred Human Resource Professionals.) as a finalist for the title of Human Resource Professional of the Year. She has also served on and chaired various committees in her synagogues, and other community organizations.
